About the Photographer
Moving to Australia from Hong Kong to finish high school, Daniel always had a keen interest in community, sustainability and craftsmanship. Now studying to become a doctor, Daniel enjoys nature and wildlife photography, as one of his creative outlets.
Alongside his studies and photography, Daniel also splits his time working with his Father for the BioCube Corporation, an organisation promoting circular economies, clean and sustainable alternative fuels.
Daniel’s desire to share these limited-edition photos, comes from the fact that they embody the community of The Hawkesbury region of Australia, where he spent a year at the hospital as part of his medical degree. The frames were sourced locally and restored by a local craftsman, while the prints were developed at a small family business. What is more is that this community was ravaged by the 2019 bushfires, and the story the images tell, and the journey of them coming to being, highlights this community’s resilience, through nature and its people.
