Item details

A tale of faraway kingdoms and distant shores, of stories spoken long ago. We honour the traditional art of silk weaving, lovingly handed down through generations.

This stunning pure silk travel jewellery wallet stores and protects jewellery when travelling. Strictly limited edition, each item is hand-cut from a unique piece of traditional Ikat silk. This particular design represents the weavers’ interpretation of the diamonds used to mark the pathways of their ancestors in the ancient Angkor period.

Traditionally used to make clothing for special occasions and royalty, Cambodian Ikat silk is considered amongst some of the most intricate in the world due to its exquisite fine detail. It can take between 3-7 days for a weaver to complete just a metre of Ikat silk, which is pretty special.

A truly beautiful, limited edition gift you won't find everywhere.

Ikat Silk

Honouring traditional silk weaving techniques that have been handed down through generations, this item is made from hand-loomed 100% pure silk. Woven entirely by hand on traditional looms, this silk is incredibly beautiful, boasting a uniqueness in quality, texture and style not found in mass-produced machine made silks.

Ethically handcrafted by artisan weavers in Cambodia, premium Ikat silk is traditionally used to make clothing for special occasions and royalty, with Cambodian Ikat silk considered amongst some of the most intricate in the world due to its exquisite fine detail. Each piece is a unique work of art and can take between 3-7 days for a weaver to complete just a single metre.

Care Instructions

1. Always take care when packing jewellery. Never over stuff your jewellery roll - less is always more.

2. Store rings on a dedicated ring strap or within zippered compartments of your jewellery roll.

3. Earrings can be fragile and tricky to pack. A jewellery roll with earring holder straps is best for storing hook or hoop earrings. We recommend keeping stud earrings within the zippered pockets for added protection of delicate posts.

4. Always secure earrings to your jewellery roll earring straps with stoppers or backs so they can't fall out.

5. Never place necklaces together (you already know this is a bad idea). Keep them in separate pockets or with items such as hard bangles where tangling is less likely to occur. If you're short on space, use soft pouches to separate them or wrap each necklace individually in tissue paper.

6. Always place valuable or delicate jewellery within a zippered compartment within your jewellery roll or wrapped in tissue paper for extra protection.
